ABOUT THE ALBUM:
You’re Gonna Hate It is a romantic rock album, borne out of heartache, growing pains and the journey of self discovery. This 16 track album Debued in September 2024 and features a number of talented artists based in Berlin. The opening track ‘WHEN YOU LIE’ was one of the first songs Uwineza wrote, as a 16 year old, locked indoors during COVID. She mixes jazz sounds into her songs from her influences of having saxophone and jazz-band lessons all throuout highschool.
This album is for the hopeless romantics, the nostalgics, and the soft rage that maifests after having had trusted someone, a little too deeply, a little too soon.
This short film is a narration of 6 music videos, with one common thread; lust, love, loss, rebirth!
Producer, Nikolai Looft worked alongside Uwineza for all 16 tracks, as well as the mix and masters.
