Rising musician Uwineza has finally released her debut album.

Uwineza, whose real name is Zoya Uwineza Mothupi-Sarges (21), began writing music during the Covid-19 pandemic to keep herself sane. Now, she's carved out a career from her passion.
She began with the piano and guitar before falling in love with the saxophone, which she played in a jazz band for six years. During the lockdown in 2022, she started writing songs daily on their untuned living room piano.
"My dad's love for music inspired me to find my own voice. It kept me sane," she said.
